A spiritual journey to know the true essence of India through its ancient culture and ancient ritual ceremonies of those who practice these religions that blend with everyday life. The itinerary takes places among the most sacred sights of Hinduism, Buddhism and Sikhism with a stop in Agra famous for its Taj Mahal, the most famous Mughal monument in the country.

Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
Upon arrival at the airport in Delhi, meeting with our staff. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 02: Delhi
Breakfast and proceed for old Delhi tour, external visit of the Red Fort, a UNESCO heritage site since 2007, built in 1639 by Emperor Shah Jahan Mogul (the creator of the Taj Mahal). Visit the spectacular mosque Jama Masjid, also commissioned by Shahjahan and completed in 1656. Passing through the 17th century typical Chandni Chowk market. Visit the Raj Ghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Continuation to the new Delhi and panoramic visit of government buildings. Visit of India Gate, memorial of first world war. Visit the magnificent complex of the Qutub Minar, a tower of 73 meters, engraved with verses of the Koran, built in 1193 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.


Day 3: Delhi / Amritsar (By Intercity train)
After breakfast transfer to Railway station to board  shatabdhi express for Amritsar. Meet and assist on arrival and transfer to Hotel. Late afternoon drive to Wagah border, only place and border between India and Pakistan, where every evening "the ceremony of lowering flag " take place every evening during sun set.  Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 4: Amritsar / Dharamshala (Km. 200 - approx 4 hrs)
After breakfast proceed visit the Golden Temple, one of the most scared temple for Sikh build by fourth Sikh guru Ramdas in 1577, the temple is built in the centre of the holly tank and the dome and walls are covered in gold leaf. Visit to Jallianwala Bagh, memorial of the massacre, took place in 1919, important event for the Independence struggle. Leave for Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, village nestled in a landscape of pines, oaks and conifers, protected by snow-capped mountains. Since 1960, when it became the temporary seat of His Holiness Dalai Lama, Dharamshala has acquired international fame as "The Little Lhasa in India". Mcleodganj, 2,082 m.s.l.m and 9 km from Dharamshala, the official residence of Tibet's government in exile since 1959 and the seat of Buddhist monasteries, home to thousands of Tibetan refugees and pilgrimage. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 05: Dharamshala

After breakfast visit the monastery , the Tibetan Buddhist center and the buildings house of government. Walk through the little village and bazaar to visit the small temples and waterfalls. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 06: Dharamshala / Shimla (Km. 240 - approx 4 hrs)

Breakfast and leave for Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, about 2,400, m.s.l.m., declared in 1864 of British India's summer capital, thanks to its cool climate in the summer. The town retains its old colonial features anchors. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 07: Shimla / Rishikesh (Km. 273 - approx 5 hrs)
Breakfast and leave for Rishikesh, located along the sacred Ganges River and surrounded by snow-capped peaks. In the afternoon, assist Aarti, ancient prayer, a powerful spiritual ritual that uses fire as an offering to the goddess Ganga, or the Ganges. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 08: Rishikesh
Breakfast and visit of Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga, and know as International capital of Yoga. The town was also famous in the West thanks to the Beatles where they composed some of their best songs. With its narrow streets from another era, it is a perfect place to relax and meditate. Walk in the bazaars and visit the ghats, where devotees offers sacred ablutions in on river Ganges. If the time permits, boat ride on the river. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

09: Rishikesh / Haridwar (Km. 20 - 40 min.)
Breakfast and departure to Haridwar, one of the sacred place for Hindu pilgrims, including sadhus and priests. Visit the temple of Mansa Devi and ghats (steps leading down to the river). Rickshaw ride in the old part of the city. At sunset witness of the Ganga Aarti ceremony, dedicated to Mother Ganges, where priests sings mantras with candles and fires. For Hindus, a visit to Haridwar can free them from the cycle of reincarnation. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Haridwar / Agra (Km. 400 - approx 6 hrs)
Breakfast and departure to Agra. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 11: Agra
After breakfast, visit the Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), UNESCO heritage, magnificent monument where Shah Jahan, for the sake of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died in childbirth, ordered the construction finished in 1653. Visit the Red Fort, UNESCO Heritage site, built by Emperor Akbar in 1565. Visit the royal palaces and the hall of private and public Audiences. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 12: Agra / Jaipur (Km. 235 - approx 4 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Jaipur enruote visiting Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years for water shortages. Its palaces and pavilions with red sandstone are perfectly preserved. Continue to Jaipur the "Pink City" with the buildings in pink sandstone that characterise the beautiful Old Town. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 13: Jaipur
Breakfast and excursion to Amber Fort built by Man Singh I in 1592 , with red clay and white marble, former state capital and seat of all Rajput dynasties until the founding of Jaipur. Access the entrance of the fort on elephant back or jeep . Later, outside visit of the magnificent Palace of Winds or Hawa Mahal, built in 1799. Visit the complex of the City Palace, the historic seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur, still residence of royal family. Visit the Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory, UNESCO site, a set of architectural forms used as astronomical instruments, built by Maharaja Jai ​​Singh II between 1727 and 1734. Walk through the colourful bazaar of Jaipur. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 14: Jaipur / Pushkar / Delhi (Km. 265 - approx 5 hrs)
Breakfast and departure to Pushkar, a town sacred to Hindus, on the banks of a small lake where devotees offer their ablutions. Pushkar, in Sanskrit means "blue lotus", is one of the oldest cities of India and is known for its folk annual camel fair in November. Departure to Delhi and on arrival transfer to the airport to connect flight for onward destinations.

 

Day 15: Departure from Delhi
Flight boarding for return home.
