Kerala, the land of coconuts

Day 01: Arrival in Cochin

Day 02: Cochin

Day 03: Cochin / Periyar (Thekkady), Km. 195 - approx 4 hrs)

Day 04: Periyar / Kumarakom (km. 135 - approx 3 hrs)
In the early hours of the morning, boat ride to the Periyar National Park, the tigers park established in 1982. The cruise allows the approach and observation of various species of animals in their natural habitat such as wild boar, deer , monkeys and even some times elephants. After breakfast leave for Kumarakom, in the backwaters, which are a network of lakes and brackish lagoons located parallel to the coast of the Arabian Sea.  The charming village of Kumarakom is a cluster of small islands on the Vembanad Lake. Evening at leisure for relax or you can take Ayurvedic massage. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 05: Kumarakom / Alleppey 
Early morning visit of Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Breakfast at the hotel. Afternoon board on typical Houseboat and cruising through Vembanad Lake. Dinner and overnight at Houseboat.

Day 06: Alleppey / Kovalam (Km. 160 - approx 4 hrs)
After breakfast depart for Kovalam. On arrival check in at the hotel. Free time to relax. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 07: Kovalam
Breakfast and full day at leisure. Kovalam is a beach known internationally, with three crescent shaped beaches, tourist destinations since 1930. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters, to be able to swim. You can sunbathe, swim, take your crisp massage with herbs and catamaran rides. Thiruvananthapuram (also called Trivandum), the capital city of Kerala, is only 16 km from Kovalam and is very easy to get there. The city of Thiruvananthapuram has interesting places to see, like the Napier Museum, the Sri Chitra Art Gallery, the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the refuge of montagnaPonmudi, a government handicraft emporium. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 08: Kovalam / Trivandrum
Transfer early morning of Trivandrum International Airport for your flight back home.

 

Day 09: Departure from Trivandrum
Flight boarding for the return home.
